Cormac Doyle
Cormac joined MKO Partners in May 2007 and is a Director in the Firm’s tax department. He provides tax services to the Firm’s International and Irish clients.
Clients include Irish and internationally based multi-national companies, property receivers, aircraft leasing and structured finance SPV’s, property developers, and other businesses operating across the international business, property, IP & Technology, and financial services sectors.
Cormac leads the provision of tax services to international based clients, including clients from the US, the UK, Italy, France and Russia, which are setting up operations in Ireland.
He also leads the provision of tax advisory services to the Firm’s clients specialising in structuring operations to avail of research & development and Intellectual Property tax incentives.
Cormac is responsible for the management of the provision of corporation tax services to the Firm’s clients including aircraft leasing companies, structured finance and other SPV’s in the financial services industry, and Irish corporates in the IT and technology sector.
Cormac has previously delivered lectures on tax to students in the Institute of Bankers and to members of the Council of the Bar of Ireland.
He also presents Budget updates annually including one in conjunction with Ulster Bank and the 2010 Budget programme on the City Channel.
Education, previous work experience
Cormac holds an honours degree in Commerce (1st Hons) from University College Dublin and an honours Masters Degree in Accounting (2.1 Hons) from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.
Cormac trained and previously worked in Deloitte, Dublin, in both the personal income tax department and the corporate tax department. While in Deloitte he gained significant experience in providing tax services to companies in the financial services sector. He subsequently worked in a firm specialising in the provision of tax services to individual and corporate investors in both Irish and foreign property.
He is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (AITI Chartered Tax Advisor) and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA).
Personal
In his spare time, Cormac enjoys keeping fit playing Gaelic football, golf, running and going to the gym. He is a keen horse racing fan and enjoys regular trips to Leopardstown and Cheltenham.
